I'm Fiona and .... I'm a Sea Glassaholic!

Living in Cyprus (which if you didn't know, is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea), means a lot of the time life revolves around the beaches and amazing sea that we are so lucky to be surrounded by.

Many years ago, during one of my frequent beachcombing expeditions I started to find pieces of colourful sea glass on the beach (sometime also referred to as beach glass). Some of the pieces were so smooth, tumbled and pretty that it seemed a shame to just leave them there. What could I do with them? That's when I started to collect it and come up with some ideas of how I could use it.

I began by making greeting cards and pictures. Following on from that, I started making sea glass jewellery. This then sparked off other ideas as to what I could use from my beachcombing. It followed from there that I started to pick up pebbles and driftwood, also using that in my designs.

Each fragment of sea glass carries a tale uniquely its own. What was it before the sea enveloped it and shaped it into a unique piece of sea glass? Perhaps it was a wine bottle or a beer glass? Or maybe a vase or perfume bottle? It's often a mystery and part of the excitement of the "Sea Glass Hunt" is, what will I find next?

I am inspired by the coastline, beaches and sea and lovingly create unique items that I hope you will like 😊
